Out of Focus falls under the guilty
pleasure of ‘teen romantic comedy’ in the
same vein as 80’s classics like 16 Candles
or Pretty in Pink. All it’s missing is Molly
Ringwald. The series is about Kadence, a
teen model used to being in the spotlight.
Her life takes a turn when she decides to
attend public school to find “normalcy”.
At the same time her agent and mother
(who reminds me so much of the type
mothers you see on shows like Toddlers
and Tiaras) insist that she form a
“modelling team” with a rather popular
male model. To tell more would give
spoilers. The first three episodes are up
and will having you waiting on the edge
of your seat for the next.
