The Divine Rest
Yonder lies the destination
That promising place of divine bliss
Where the soul longs to be
Hoping for the comfort that
Stills the uttering heart
Tossed about like a leaf
Assuring it of solace.
Making easy the journey
Wrought with raging tempests
That blight the soul
Yonder lies the destination
Wherein lies the haven
That beckons the weary soul torn asunder
With care and wear
And that immunes the eyes
To betwitching charms and lure
Inspiring to set sight on what is supreme
Leading the way to the desired harbour
That place of eternal glory and peace
Paving the way to the outstretched arms
From whence to the bosom of the
Abba Father God
