SLS Premier League
The second edition of SLS Cricket Premier League ended with the crowning of Panda ' s Power on March 24 . In the �nal they overcame a stiff challenge from defending champions Reddy ' s Rocket .
What looked like taking shape in an edge-of-the-seat exciting �nal , �nally ended in an easy win for the new champions .
Like in its inaugural edition last year , SPL began with the students and faculty members divided into six teams , each consisting of at least a faculty and a girl student .
Other teams were Nigam ' s Knight , Mallik ' s Maverick , Sandeep ' s Sena and Sahoo ' s Shers .
Panda ' s Power and Reddy ' s Rocket made it to the �nal by winning both their group matches , while Mallik ' s Mavericks and Sandeep ' s Sena ended up with one win each .
SLS Director , Prof Nigam Dave , encouraged the students by giving away the prizes . A keen cricketer himself , Prof Dave also rolled the tournament out by tossing the inaugural coin on March 16 .
