Faculty Achievements Ms. Neeta Khurana 1. Was invited to deliver an expert talk on "Opportunities and Learnings in the Liberal Studies" at C.U. Shah University, Surendranagar on March 23,2017. The talk was attended by the President, ofcials and students of the university and was well received. 2. Ms. Neeta Khurana was invited by Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) as Resource Person for the National Seminar on “Role of Women in Sustainable Development” on April 1, 2017. The Seminar was organized by GNLU Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development (GCESD) in sponsorship with National Commission for Women . The main Objectives of the workshop was to identify the social, legal and economic hurdles for women in playing their role, to understand the vital role played by women in the global objectives of achieving sustainable development and to come out with concrete suggestion for improving and encouraging the role of women in sustainable development. Ms. Khurana was the co chairperson along with Dr. A. K. Saxena, IFS, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Social Forestry, Government of Gujarat for the Plenary Session II: Gender Equality and Role of Stakeholders. 3. Convocation ceremony in Seth C L High Secondary School in Rakhiyal, Ahmedabad where Dr. Vinod Pandey, HoD of Dept. of Journalism, Gujarat Vidyapith was the Chief Guest and Ms. Neeta Khurana was invited as Guest of Honour. The event was special as the President of the institute and the trustees declared that the trust will bear full fees of every student who clears SLS Entrance exam and joins PDPU Dr. Nausheen Nizami 1. Invited to chair a Technical session on 'Environment and Related Issues' at the National Conference on 'Shaping India 2030: Sustainable Development and Socio-Economic Perspectives and Challenges' on 23rd-24th March 2017 organized by Amity School of Economics, Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. 26
