URBAN RENEWAL MISSION INTERNSHIP 2016-17 Students also undertook site-visits to the majestic Kotarpur water plant and were guided on its daily management requirements and its importance to the city's water needs. A site-visit to the 180 MLD sewage treatment plant at Pirana made the student's aware about the challenges AMC is facing in treating urban sewage and how efcient waste management plays a vital role in a city's lifeline. Students were also taken to Kankaria Carnival where they took a study tour of the various stalls organized there and also got a chance to interact with the visitors and take their citizen feedback online. Few students also paid a visit to APMC site at Vasna where they learnt about daily trading, waste disposal arrangements of the agricultural market in the city. 6
