Q: What do you actually do for SLO What? Magazine?
A: I’m a Contributing Writer for SLO What? which means I meet with Asia
every month to discuss topics, themes, & ideas for future articles/pieces &
then from there I write or create whatever we decide on, send it in, & get
published in the lovely magazine!
Q: If you could re-title your position at SLO What? Magazine..
A: Writer Extraordinaire. I hope to be a well known writer one day :)
Q: What is your fave part of working with SLO What?
A: I love that I have finally found a way to get involved with my major
(journalism) since I’m not a huge fan of news writing. SLO What? has
finally given me the creative outlet to be published while getting to create
content that I love, but even more important, is something that our audience enjoys to read.
Q: If you gave SLO What? a new motto, what would it be?
A: SLO Matter What - any age, any gender, any point in life, our magazine is created to be enjoyed by the SLO community as a whole. Whether
that means some college type articles for college aged kids, or featuring
businesses around SLO for our adult readers, I believe SLO What? has
something to offer for everyone.
Q: Where do you take out of town guests?
A: The top of Prefumo Canyon! When I first discovered it, I fell in love &
I always love to go there to stargaze when the sky is clear. Also, in the
spring when all the hills turn green, it’s like a magical escape to Irel&.
Amazing photo opps too ;)
Q: What’s your favorite coffee shop in SLO? (We are all judging you)
A: So you may hate me or maybe you’ll totally agree with me, but I’m not
a coffee person. I’ve never liked the taste, even though I’ve tried to make
myself like it. That being said, I do go to Blackhorse Café on Foothill Blvd.
a lot to do homework & study!
