Located downtown on the corner of Broad and Pacific ,
Libtertine is the newest, hip and edgy coffee bar that’ll give
you a new excuse to drink more coffee (as if we needed
another one!)
Nothing kickstarts your morning like a small bullet proof
coffee (yes, you read that right). Libertine Coffee Bar, one
of the newer additions to the SLO coffee shop community
specializes in creative drinks crafted by their baristas from tea
lattes to homemade kombucha.
The coffee bar officially opened on February 14th, as
an addition to the Libertine Brewing Company. Two
unintentional brews - the coffetine and the freddy got finger-
limed, were crafted when beer was accidently mixed with
coffee; fusing the two parts of the business together.
The coffee bar sets itself apart from the crowd by going
against the current light-roast coffee trend, and branding
itself on their European style medium to dark roast coffee.
The Libertine also prides itself on being a local SLO business
that supports other local businesses. They use fruit for their
Kombucha at farmers market, and get their coffee roast
locally. They have even partnered with Slo DoCo to create
customized Libertine donuts! The donuts are unique to
Libertine’s drink flavors including the hibiscus tea donut and
the earl grey donut which both directly use the Libertine’s tea
in the ingredients to make them!
