Winter Is The Season For Christmas Movies by Drabya Rana C hristmas is the time of the year to spend time hanging with your friends, relaxing with your family or kissing your girlfriend or boyfriend underneath the mistletoe. If you are single and bored during Christmas, however, this article is just for you. Below, my lonely friend, is an overview of the most hilarious and christmasy movies of all time. 2. Elf (2003) Elf is a sweet and silly tale about a human baby who was raised by elves at San- ta’s Home in the North Pole. As the years pass, he comes to find out that he is not elf, so he then ventures to New York to look for his biological human father. His adventure to find his biological father in New York lead to some interesting “elf work” at a mall department store. “It’s a fun, family-friendly movie that ex- presses child like humor.” says Carl Erick Wasing 3. Scrooged (1988) “Scrooged” is a remake of the morality play “A Christmas Carol.” In this movie, the executive of “Ebenezer,” a heartless television show starring main character Frank Cross (Bill Murray), is persuaded to change his life by being less stingy and cruel. After firing an employee on Christmas Eve played by Bobcat Goldthwait, Cross gets a warning from his late mentor, a ghost, then a series of freakish events commence. 1. Home Alone (1990) Lets start with one of what many people like to call “an old classic.” Almost all of us know about the story of eight year old Kevin McCallister who was left behind by his family after they decided to go to Paris for Christmas. The young Kevin was then left to protect his house from two inept burglars who called themselves “The Wet Bandits.” “Home Alone is probably one of my favorite Christmas movies, and I al- ways watched it growing up as a kid. It’s funny, entertaining, and definitely a great flick to watch on cold, lonesome nights. Despite being from the ‘90s, it remains a timeless classic.” Says Fillip Xu.
