would say I am a fairly
open-minded and worldly
person. I have travelled
to various corners of the
globe from my homeland of New
Zealand, and about two years ago
I met the man of my dreams (on
Tinder! It was love at first swipe, but
that’s an entirely different story). He
is Brazilian, and until recently we
have been living in New Zealand,
learning to familiarize and harmonize
ourselves with one another and our
newly adopted cultures. About six
months ago we decided it was only
fair for us to spend some time closer
to the place he calls home, and so we
made the move and I now find myself
learning to adapt to a new life
in Brazil.
One thing that has struck me here,
being the physically unremarkable
white NZ-Pakeha girl that I am, is the
