Do you feel like growing up in Claremont
shaped the way you skate? Or were you
just influenced by skate videos?
I was heavily influenced by Skate Videos,
but growing up in Claremont, with the
group of dudes I grew up with, definitely
played a huge roll in the way I skate. Unfortunately, I lost contact with most of them.

How did Filament come about?
I had always thought Filament Brand was
sick. I researched it when I first saw
“Moose“, (Luis De Los Reyes) wearing a pair.
Once I found out that Tim Gavin was the
founder, I really wanted to try and become
a part of it. They collaborated with “Hella
Clips“ on the “Filament Make a Minute,
Video Contest”. So, I linked up with my
friend Chris Park, we filmed a good minute
and a half of some clips in two weeks, and
barely got it sent in on the last day to turn
in footage. A few weeks went by, then Tim
emailed me and put me on flow.
