that thing, I have nightmares about it still.
It was a 7, flat 7, flat 7, flat 7, flat 7. 28 stairs
I think. So 5, 6 kinks i think. I’ve had better
days of skating. I pretty much went down
all 28 stairs and the sacked it on the last
little kink and fractured my pelvis. I almost
had it. I was close enough that I sort of
want to do it again, but I don’t at the same
time… At all.
Becker: We did a lot of work to that rail
and went back a handful of times.
Garrett: There was nothing about that rail
that was good for skating. It was super
slippery, you hit it and start speeding up.
First I tried rubbing my griptape on it to
see if I could sand it out, that didn’t work
at all. But we came back the next day and
it looked like someone had probably spent
a solid hour putting stickers on the entire
rail, probably like 100 ft. of rail just covered
in stickers to try to slow it down. I think
it worked pretty good, slowed me down a
little bit.
