UPDATE: Slums Lot didn’t survive the New Year.
Contractors working for the state’s transportation department reduced the popular DIY
skate spot to rubble to make way for redevelopment. Rastatter, who said he wasn’t
too bummed by the discovery, was able to
salvage his fire hydrant and some angle iron
and plans to build a bigger spot soon. “I do
miss that taco, though,” he said. “Way too
much fun was had at Slums!”
