Curtain Making
Learn how to make lined curtains the professional way so you can dress your windows for a fraction of the cost of shop bought made-to-measure . The course starts with first principles of flat pattern cutting ; equipment and the accurate taking of measurements . In the first instance , you will be using industry standard measurements and drafting a standard block . You will learn analysis of the fit by testing with a toile made from calico . Students may then either use the best fit industry standard measurements for their own size or use their own measurements to make and fit their own blocks . Various methods for adaption for fit will be discussed .

Knitting for Beginners
Come and be part of a small group and learn to knit . This course is for complete beginners and will build your knitting skills over the 8 weeks . Starting with simple knit stitch , the course aims , via a series of projects , to teach the skills necessary to make a simple garment . The projects will include a soft toy , a bag and a scarf .

A Taste of Dance – No partner required
Why not come and have a try at dancing . Not sure what ’ s for you ? Don ’ t worry . In this 9 week course you can try classical jazz , belly , African , bollywood / bhangra , ballet , contemporary street / hip hop and line dancing . A great way to get your endorphins flowing , no experience or partner required .
