in the Cheshire/Wirral Country House

This 5 week course will examine the rise of consumer
society and the country house in Cheshire and trace
the imprint of slavery on the county; it will also show
how the landscape of the Caribbean was impacted
by the arrival of settlers, soldiers, felons, slaveholders
and goods from Cheshire.
