House system Student leadership
Each student will be assigned to a House,
based on their areas of study or interests.
Five Houses, each of which reference
the College’s proud history and heritage,
represent something different and aim to
give students a sense of identity, a feeling
of support and the opportunity to form
new friendships. The Houses are Deane,
Witton, School, Wilbraham and Brunner. Sir John Deane’s continues a tradition
of appointing a Head Boy and Head Girl
whose role is to set an example to their
peers and represent the College at key
events. They work closely with the team
of House Captains to ensure all aspects
of House life run smoothly. They ensure
that student views are represented and
ideas come to life through a number of
competitive and fundraising events.
There are many opportunities for students
to be Ambassadors and to play an
important role in representing the College.
House Captains and Ambassadors work
closely with the Senior Leadership Team
and Governors.
