Summary of Content Preparation for September
The course provides excellent preparation for further
study at University or in employment, and is an excellent
grounding for anyone interested in working with people
of a variety of ages, in a range of settings from: babies
and children, to people with special needs or learning
difficulties, to families and young people and the elderly.
If you have an approachable, trustworthy, enthusiastic
and compassionate nature, this is an ideal course for you. We don’t expect you to do any preparation as such
for September, but it would do you no harm to volunteer
in a care setting over the summer break in order to
get some work experience so that you can apply your
experience to aspects of the course.
