Fees may be subject to change because of
government funding reviews, which can happen

businesses.
FREE
Liverpool Lecture
Held at Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College
The Vikings in Britain– Michael Tunnicliffe
The first Viking raids began at the end of the 8th century and
intensified in the 9th. They almost overwhelmed the Anglo Saxon
kingdoms but Alfred’s Wessex held out. In the 10th century they lost
ground but renewed raids in the 11th century saw Danish kings ruling
in England as well as Scandinavia from 1016-42. This course examines
that story and the impact of the Vikings in these lands.
