I started with dance at the age of 3. It went on for most of my life! I did jazz, ballet, hip hop, flamenco, oriental dance, tap and ballroom. I discovered I could sing around 14, when I joined a performing troupe of teenagers called Crescendo where everybody had to sing and dance. I wanted to dance, but during my voice test I hit the highest notes on the piano and the director decided I needed to sing I did both for my time with Crescendo, learning more than anybody could imagine about performing. I started my first vocal lessons, then went to college to study classical singing. Acting came naturally, through singing songs from musicals in my teens, then it became a career (I did musicals and musical reviews most of my career in Canada). Acrobatics were a part of my role in Zarkana, from Cirque du Soleil, where I had to sing and spin upside down in a harness as the Spider Lady. I trained a few aerial apparatuses during my time Cirque. I still wanna work on an aerial singing act for myself. I miss flying!
