Sin City Presents Magazine September 2018 Volume 5 Issue 08 - Page 35

She’s fierce! Her power vocals melt your soul at the core when she steps on the stage get ready to be blown away! She’s a singer, dancer, actress, and aerial acrobat, she’s a quadruple threat. Around the world she’s known as Cassiopée (the French writing of Cassiopeia) for two decades she’s been Americanizing her name and it’s our pleasure to introduce you, our readers to Cassie Stone! Originally from Canada she moved to the U.S. when she ran away with the circus and she’s been calling Sin City home since 2012. She hit the Strip running and she hasn’t stopped!

As a woman I must admit Cassie intimidates me a little, however her outward confidence and powerful presence are inspiring. After bumping into her randomly at Count’s Vamp’d one evening we had a nice informal chat, just two girls… she really is just a down to earth hard-working gal.

Before being part of the back-up a Rock and Soul singers in Cirque du Soleil’s Zumanity beginning in 2016 she was the main female character in Zarkana, also a Cirque du Soleil production, at the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. After two seasons at Radio City Music Hall (NY) and a tour (Madrid and Kremlin Theater, Moscow), as Lia and its odd incarnations (the mutant ladies, including the famous Spider Lady). She then went on to be Ann Wilson in the World’s Greatest Rock Show at the Stratosphere in 2017 and currently performs with her rockabilly band, Cassie Stone and her Pretty Monsters.

She is the winner of multiple awards including Best Singer/Performer and Best Stage Presence at the FICG 2002. She’s also performed in many original musicals and reviews throughout Canada, Europe and Asia, including Don Juan, Dracula-Between Love and Death, Sherazade-Les 1001 nuits. From Rock to Opera, Joe Dassin-La Grande Fête Musicale, Si Alys m'était chantée, Les Folie's de Paris, La Magie de Broadway, and countless others. She fronted the metal band Anemonia and is a regular guest singer at Vamp’d, for Kiss Night, Classic Album Nights and other special all-star events.

Following that chance encounter and casual conversation with Cassie I worked up the courage to invite her to be our cover feature… she very humbly accepted. I don’t even know where to start… quadruple threat! Are you kidding me?

Welcome Cassie! Can you tell us a little bit about how your career evolved and how you got your start in each area of talent (singer/dancer/actress/aerial acrobat)? Continue reading...
