This month's "On The Roxx" (by request) Moment that impacted my future in music. Hanging out with Kiss at Friday's T.V. taping 1/15/82.

On Jan., 15th 1982 my friends & I were lucky to get tix to see Kiss do their afternoon dress rehearsal at ABC Studios in Los Angeles, Ca. We showed up around noon, met Bill Aucoin while waiting in line. He described to us what songs Kiss would play etc.. Then walks up a then unknown Blackie Lawless with his then band mates. We thought they were Kiss without makeup! When we took our seats in the studio the Kiss techs checked their gear behind a curtain. We heard Gene and Paul playing part of "Mr. Blackwell" which was NOT played during the taping and also parts of "Under The Rose" & "Only You". After a few Friday's skits Kiss came out & played their (3) songs. After the dress rehearsal Rich Hall & Melanie Chartoff approached us kids and gave us all access passes and told us to come with them.

They took us aside and explained to us that Ace was a bit outta control and to stay away from him. We were teenagers so in hindsight they were looking out for us. The studio emptied out, we just were given all access passes & decided to hang for the evening taping.

Stuffed Peppers are one of my fovorite things to make especially this time of year. There's just somehing about their light crunch that makes them perfect in the springtime for me, despite the fact that their peak harvest time is from July .

Thanks to global produce exchang in SOUth america and Holland we can enjoy the sweet crunch of these assertive veggies any time of the year.

I like the traditional recipie in the goodd old fashioned Betty Crocker cookbook but occasionally I like a little twist. Here are some great VariationS I found on Penterest that i though you might ejoy as well . Click on the images to see the recipies.
