"Perfect Pitch"

Stuffed Peppers are one of my fovorite things to make especially this time of year. There's just somehing about their light crunch that makes them perfect in the springtime for me, despite the fact that their peak harvest time is from July .

Thanks to global produce exchang in SOUth america and Holland we can enjoy the sweet crunch of these assertive veggies any time of the year.

I like the traditional recipie in the goodd old fashioned Betty Crocker cookbook but occasionally I like a little twist. Here are some great VariationS I found on Penterest that i though you might ejoy as well . Click on the images to see the recipies.

Guitar Tips: "Perfect Pitch". Training your ears to recognize notes as colors and moods broadens your musical vocabulary. My first experience realizing I was gifted with this ability was in 1987 when we were recording the Tarrga album. I showed up at the studio one morning and our producer was playing back a song from the previous session. I immediately said "That's in the wrong key! What happened"? The producer insisted "nothing"! I kept telling him it wasn't correct, and he checked the tape machine to find the "VSO" (tape speed) had been tampered with and my ears were not hearing 440 concert pitch after all! He was pretty blown away, I was too. Now I will explain how I believe my ears were trained so early on. Basically, my brain recognizes notes by certain songs I've heard hundreds of times. At the end of this post I will list some songs that have had influence on notes/colors/moods in my head, and why I can yell out or sing any key on the fretboard on cue without an instrument nearby. It does take me a moment though & without distraction. Lol. Over the years I've gotten pretty good at it. So, in my head (in 440) I can reference notes on the fly. You can train your ears too if you listen constantly and practice recalling notes.

Flats, sharps, any note etc.

JR: Do you have advice for anyone wanting to start their own business?

Dana: Learn everything you can from likeminded individuals. Watch YouTube videos, read blogs, join groups. I’m lucky that I have some seasoned and amazing reseller friends, actually a whole community, that teach me something new about my business every day.

JR: What is the most challenging part of what you do?

Dana: Right now, the inability to expand my inventory. I have to be really picky when sourcing because I just don’t have the space I need to grow. That’s all changing soon though, so I’m really excited about that part!

JR: Is social media a big part of it?

Dana: Social media is a reseller’s dream! The potential to have billions of eyes on your stuff worldwide 24/7 is a huge advantage.
