Sin City Presents Magazine January 2019 Volume 6 Issue 1 - Page 32

What are your goals for the New Year ahead?

Well, right now, I’m concentrating on getting these guitar parts for the L.A. Guns set down note-for-note. I’m also really looking forward to start writing new material for the next Sin City Rejects record and the third I guess would be to take it easy more. Maybe go on a vacation or two. I’m always working, always learning new songs, always practicing and always playing shows. Life is short, and I’d love to explore other hobbies, activities, more.

What are your thoughts on the current pulse of the local Las Vegas music scene?

It has a great scene. Lots of really good bands out here. Much more than in L.A.

There’s lots of musicians in L.A. but very few bands. It’s not that kind of a town. It’s more of a hired gun situation out there. Out here, there’s still a local band culture which is really cool.

Now for a couple of the cliché questions…

Who are some of your biggest influences?

I could name a hundred bands, but I’ll just say the Stones and leave it at that.

What is your most memorable moment on stage?

Probably a gig I did with L.A. Guns in Sweden with Alice Cooper. I think it was the biggest crowd I ever played in front of. Also, a gig I did with Ratt in Florida was a really special gig for me personally.

What advice would you have for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps?

I can’t really recommend it, lol, but I’d never tell anyone not to. Just know, unless you’re that one in a trillion, it’s gonna be tough. Really, really tough. But to me it’s all been worth it.

I think that’s the most honest answer I’ve ever gotten for that! Thank you so much for spending some time with us Scott. Real quick where can our readers find you online?
