JR: Can you give an example of one of your best sales and why it stands out for you?

Dana: My favorite one was my 1st one - one your CD’s! It was purchased by another seller in Florida. I thought that was so cool! You never forget your first cha-ching!

My “best” sale to date as far as highest dollar amount was a Lilly Pulitzer dress that I found for $8 at a thrift store. It was hanging on the end of a rack all by itself, like it was just waiting for me to find it. Like, angels sang and shit. It was just...there. I flipped that dress for $300!!

JR: What are some hobbies you

enjoy when you're not working?

Dana: I love to read. I currently

have 5 books in queue. I’m

currently reading Valley of the

Dolls. Before that, I read Me, Inc.

by Gene Simmons.

JR: Do you ever find things &

decide to keep them for yourself?

If so, what great finds have you found?

Dana: I find things I want to keep all the time!! All. The.

Time. Fortunately for my closet, they don’t work out most of the time. The last couple of things I kept for myself are a brand new pair of Lucchese cowboy boots that I got for $10 and a little Emmett Kelly clown painting from 1978. That one cost $1.99.

JR: Tell our readers a little bit about what drives you, & also tell us something nobody knows about you, or a guilty pleasure.

Dana: What drives me? Money!! And being my own boss. I don’t want to have to wake up at some ungodly hour to go to a “real” job ever again. Morning me is not a good time for anyone involved. I’m a savage as fuck in the a.m. I’ll chew your face off. I’m doing society a favor by being self-employed, really.

JR: Do you have advice for anyone wanting to start their own business?

Dana: Learn everything you can from likeminded individuals. Watch YouTube videos, read blogs, join groups. I’m lucky that I have some seasoned and amazing reseller friends, actually a whole community, that teach me something new about my business every day.

JR: What is the most challenging part of what you do?

Dana: Right now, the inability to expand my inventory. I have to be really picky when sourcing because I just don’t have the space I need to grow. That’s all changing soon though, so I’m really excited about that part!

JR: Is social media a big part of it?

Dana: Social media is a reseller’s dream! The potential to have billions of eyes on your stuff worldwide 24/7 is a huge advantage.
