You are in the very popular Spazmatics at the Southpoint hotel. Why do you think it is so well loved?

The Spazmatics are legendary. The Las Vegas Spazmatics has had a residency at Southpoint Showroom every Saturday for the last 10 years -- way before I was on the scene and for good reason; they're the best in town. Nobody is more committed to giving audiences a better night out than The Spazmatics. People go every week because they want to dance and love all the characters. Alex, Jimmy and Dee are fantastic musicians and the shows are always packed because of them and the legend they created. It's an honor to work with them.

Your band Alley Cats LV released an EP and are very popular in Japan, What was that like to go there? And what are the Alley Cats LV up to now?

Japan was unreal. I had never been to any place like it. It's so futuristic and very old at the same time. It's hard to describe, but I could never imagine being bored there. I absolutely fell in love with it. The food was amazing and the people were on a level of respectfulness and politeness that I had never experienced. Everything is very small...hotel rooms, the showers. The 7-11's are stocked with fresh, amazing food. Gorgeous countryside and the big cities were something out of "Blade Runner.” Way, way ahead of us in every way. Almost every show we did there was sold out. The audiences were very different than here. They politely rock out during the songs, but when the song is over, it becomes dead silent. I could actually hear myself tune up during those moments. It's like a library. They listen extremely intensely at every word you say and then when you play another song, they rock out again. The rhythm of that was a little weird at first but I got used to it after a while. The Alley Cats LV will record a new album in September, followed by a tour of Japan in November. I can't wait!!

For you, what are your plans in terms of releasing original Zach Throne music?

As for my own album, I will begin recording original Zach Throne songs at the end of August in LA. My friend, Eric Skodis, from the band "Imperial Drag" will be producing. Eric is one of the best drummer/singers you will ever hear and is a great producer and digs my songs. I can't wait to start recording it. It's tentatively titled, "This Is Right Now" and should be out mid-October.

Thank you for sharing so much with us Zach you have a fascinating background.
