Alexandria Cruz is so much more than a fashion model; she is a true role model for Latinas everywhere. She was born in Puerto Rica and lived there in her early childhood years. She began modeling four years ago and has appeared in England’s Merciless Beauty Magazine, Florida’s Revized Magazine, and California’s Artistology Magazine. She has graced the cover of Today’s Charlotte Woman Magazine and was featured in a Chevrolet commercial. She is currently represented by the Tout Talent Agency. Many young girls dream of this kind of modeling success. While Alex enjoys being a model, her real passion is helping others. She declines modeling jobs so she can volunteer her time at the local hospital’s ‘Art for Life’ program where she teaches art to children in the hematology/oncology unit. This is where she finds true happiness and success.  Some say it is all in the genes. That is definitely true for Alex’s creativity and talent since she comes from an artistically minded family. Her mother is an interior designer, her father is in hospitality mgt., and her brother is completing his architecture degree. She also has a twin sister who is a graphic designer. Alex graduated with an art & psychology degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She then completed a Master’s degree in art therapy and counseling from George Washington University in 2012. She currently works as an Art Therapist and Program Manager at the Umar Arts Center in Lincolnton, North Carolina where she helps adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Alex encourages her clients to embrace the tactile, expressive, and therapeutic qualities of art to achieve their developmental milestones and become attune with their own healing process. Alex is living proof that models are more than just a pretty face and beauty is more than skin deep. www.simplyelevate.com 17
