“The CLiQ Network Event”
Written By Quianna Ali
North Carolina has
been working vigorously over the past few
years to make its mark in the fashion and
entertainment industries. From music artists making major moves, to photographers gaining national and international
exposure, the southern comfort state is
slowly but surely being recognized for so
much more. While big cities like Charlotte
usually lead the way in ventures like this,
Charlotte NC Fashion Week and multiple
Charlotte-based fashion magazines- both
print and online publications- are only beginning to skim the surface of what NC is
capable of doing.
a few weeks ago in Greensboro, NC
Hardpress Studio teamed up with celebrity
designer Stevie Boi to host their first
“CLiQ Network” event. The idea behind
the event was to allow businesses and individuals with aspirations of fashionfocused careers, be it modeling, photogra
phy, wardrobe styling, hair styling, makeup, or design, to network and connect with
current industry insiders and get a better

feel for what goes on behind the scenes of the
glamourous prints seen in magazines and ads
worldwide.
According to the Event Organizer and
Owner/Founder of Hardpress Studio, Don
Harris, “The idea behind this event is to place a
spotlight on the talent and emerging fashion
network in the Triad area of North Carolina.”
The CLiQ Network Event was held on Sunday,
August 17th at the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro, NC. With an impressive turnout of attend
attendees, all sharing the same passion for this field,
the vibe and energy throughout the day were
electrifying! During the event multiple photographers conducted editorial photo-shoots, while
teams of hair, makeup and wardrobe stylists
prepped the models and model coaches assist
ed them throughout the shoots.
Having gained sponsorship from Bovanti Cosmetics, Cache, My Perfect Pair, Perfect Choice
Jewelry, Just Casual, and Glam n Glitz- the
collective group of professionals were essential
to leading the way and providing a glimpse into
their world for their aspiring counterparts.
