: I would describe myself as a proverbs 31 woman , I believe that if you truly embody that then you would exude everything that you are which would be exemplified in your own personal style . To me , that is a virtuous woman .

: What motivates you ?
A
: As a child , my mother use to sketch as I would watch her . My mom inspires and motivates me , as I would hope to be like her when I get to be her age . She instilled in me at a very early age , of what it means to aspire to be more than what the world gives you . My mother did not go on to improve her skill set , and that motivates me to go forward and not leave my talent behind . I do it for myself , my kids , and my mom .

: Explain your past experience ?
A
: My formal training began in Mount Vernon high school , where the school offered vocational training in fashion design . I learned early , the various techniques of fashion design which prepared me going to college . I actually had the chance to go back and substitute teach for a few years to teach others and help improve their skill set , in the same
class where I learned . I also attended The Fashion Insititute of Technology for a year .

: What has been the most creative and / or challenging garment that you have constructed ?
A
: The most creative and abnormal garment was a dress I made from toilet tissue . An avantgarde dress that was created for the Earth Day fashion show held at NC A & T , it was challenging but not hard . As I began to construct the garment , it turned out to be a fabulous piece !

: Where do you see yourself in 5 years ?
A
: I cannot say where I will be but I hope that
I am doing exactly what God has planned for me to do ! Post-graduation , I would like to work for a company where I can utilize both sides of merchandising and design .
