Make your own seed (or nut) butter!
M any would argue that peanuts aren’t
the problem since they are a legume – it’s
what’s been done to them. Peanuts are
highly sprayed (even organic ones) and grow
underground in often mouldy conditions.
The trouble is, that kids love peanut butter,
yet they can’t eat it or take it to school!
If your kids like peanut butter but can’t
have it, get them started on SEED butter!
It’s very easy to make, and customizable
– you can even add a bit of honey and
cocoa powder to make a healthy spreadable
version that they WILL be allowed to eat for
breakfast and even take to school!

Choose your favourites – sunflowers,
pumpkins, sesame seeds, and then roast
them a bit in a 350°F oven for about 5-7
minutes. Cool and whiz in a food processor
until it turns to “butter” and voila! •
for this and other healthy recipes in a
user-friendly step-by-step pictorial format!
