NEW OWNERSHIP, NEW LIFE!
A Burlington institution for three decades, Bulk Food
Warehouse is under new ownership! After the previous
owner retired, Linda Mabbott took over the store on
August 1st, after years of searching for a prospective
family business with her husband, Rocco Racioppo.
The family’s passion for vitamins and supplements
originates from finding personal benefit in their use. A
few years ago, Rocco was feeling tired, run-down and
generally unwell. Doctors could provide no diagnosis, so
he turned to vitamins and supplements and saw an almost
instant improvement, making him feel better than ever.
Not long after, Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer,
and found that the use of vitamins and supplements greatly
improved the negative symptoms of her treatments.
When they discovered the listing for Bulk Food Warehouse
in June, the family jumped at the opportunity to invest in
a local treasure. In the spirit of a true family business,
everyone plays their part in continuing the Bulk Food
Warehouse legacy. Linda operates the day-to-day business,
with eldest son Jonathan Racioppo leading advertising
and marketing, middle son Ryan Racioppo in accounting,
and youngest son Brent Racioppo managing the bulk
food business. Even Rocco can be found at the store on
weekends, sharing his passion and knowledge of vitamins
and supplements with the store’s many local customers.
Customers will still find the local charm and the familiar
faces of Sarah and Ellen behind the cash registers and in
the aisles. The customer community is supportive and
excited about the transition, and although it’s business as
usual, look forward to the new touches that this family will
bring to Bulk Food Warehouse.
One of the fresh changes that comes with new ownership
is the extended hours. Bulk Food Warehouse is now open
Thursdays and Fridays until 8 p.m and Sundays from 11
a.m to 5 p.m. Visit Bulk Food Warehouse on Mondays and
Tuesdays for Senior’s Day and enjoy 10% off the wide
selection of vitamins, supplements and bulk food items,
or visit any other day for always low prices and monthly
deals!
