Summer it up!
Why make your own
Regardless of what foodie thing you like to make using
wine this summer, start with a good wine. If you live in a
world where there’s leftover wine – let’s say you opened
one too many bottles during a dinner party – you can
freeze it in ice cubes for later use in soups, or use some
in next-day mussels marinara.
However there’s much more you can do with wine
than just drink it straight up. Here are a couple of simple
ideas that scream SUMMER! Enjoy!
Healthy Summer Sangria
Other recipes are loaded with refined empty-calorie
sugars or pop that pack on calories, this one’s our healthy
Sangria makeover:

2 cups soda water
1 pear, peeled & diced
2 oranges, sliced in rounds
1 cup pineapple chunks

orange juice
1 cup coconut sugar*
Mix all ingredients
in a large pitcher and
refrigerate for 4 hours.
Because you can.
