TO AWESOME!
THEATRE BURLINGTON PRESENTS:

W ith the advent of Spring, the savvy shopper heads out
– not to the mall, but to the nearest Church or Yard Sale.
This April, the Burlington Lawn Bowling Club is pulling
out all stops to ensure their garage sale leaves the rummage
behind. Just the ‘good stuff’ will don their tables. This is how
they are turning their sale from rummage to AWESOME.

In this play Norm Foster portrays a couple in their
golden age enjoying life after their children have left home.
Their idyllic future plans are cut short as each child
unexpectedly returns. With Norm Foster’s incredible wit
and insight even when dealing with uncomfortable
subjects, we still find a great deal to laugh at.

Seven steps to a truly awesome garage sale:
1.Must have a dedicated group of 10, who are prepared to
meet at least twice: A month before the sale, or sometime
twice before the sale.
2.The date must not compete with other community events.
3.This must be held just prior to your club or organization’s
opening season – For example, the Burlington Club’s open
house week begins May 5th.
4.All channels for ‘free’ advertising must be explored.
5.People bring their items 1-2 weeks before the sale, and items
are inspected by your committee. Donations are either ac-
cepted or declined. Need to be firm on what is accepted,
so that minimal leftovers can be managed.
6.Nothing broken, no religious items, no books, no records,
no clothing or shoes.
7.Information about the sale and dates to bring stuff starts
early! Then people can start gathering quality items.
These lawn bowlers invite you to drop by and judge for
yourself – is this sale awesome or what?

April 28th at 8am, at The Burlington Lawn Bowling Club
