Dark Chocolate Red Wine Cookies
Ingredients
• 1-1/2 Cups flour (can also use gluten-free flour)
• 3/4 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 tsp. of salt
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• 1 stick of unsalted butter or dairy-free butter
• 3/4 Cup of sugar or maple syrup
• 3/4 Cup of brown sugar or coconut sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp. vanilla extract
• 1/2 Cup of bold red wine
• 1 Cup semisweet chocolate chips (optional)

Preheat your oven to 375°F, and add parchment paper
onto cookie sheets. In a mixing bowl, combine first 4
ingredients (dry). In a separate bowl, cream together
the butter and sugars, then add the egg, vanilla and
red wine, mixing well until combined. Add the dry
ingredients to this mixture, and combine well. Then if
using, add the chocolate chips. You may also add some
dried cranberries (delicious!) Spoon onto cookie sheet
and bake for 8-10 minutes.•
