Leading digital ink manufacturer, NUtec, recently hosted
a contingent of 24 South American delegates who
visited their solvent, UV-curable and water-based ink
manufacturing facilities in Ottery, Cape Town.
The visitors from Brazil, Argentina, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Colombia
flew in for the sales training seminar, which ran from 2–6 May 2018 and was
held predominantly in Spanish. Attendees were hosted by Gabriel Conti, MD of
Kover, the South American master distributor for NUtec inks.

The objectives of the visit were to educate customers about the ink making
processes; to increase awareness about the current range of NUtec inks and to
create regional sales support networks among attendees.
While training days were filled with information on new ink introductions,
product placements, applications and competitor analyses, evenings were spent
sightseeing and experiencing all the Cape had to offer.
At the end of the training week, delegates enjoyed a scenic bus tour to Cape
Point followed by a wine and tapas lunch held at Constantia Glen wine farm.
Certificates of Competence were then handed out at the award ceremony by
Neil Green, NUtec’s Sales and Marketing Director.
‘This is an annual regional training event that we hold for sales and technical
purposes. It is the highlight of our calendar as we get to meet face to face and
educate our partners from around the world,’ noted Green.
