be emphasized. Journal articles covering a range of disciplines with which students have some familiarity will be
read and discussed in depth by the class.

During this course students will select their research topic. The course will focus on how to write a project
proposal, experimental design, scientific ethics, research statistics, scientific computing, and other topics relevant
to particular projects or approaches.
