Emphasis is placed on the development and use of art terminology, methods and sources for interpreting art objects, and the exploration of various tools, techniques, materials, and strategies used by artists. Emphasis is on various techniques of brainstorming tools to increase creativity, as well as critical thinking skills for solving design problems. Cross-listed as ART 147. Typographic theory, concepts, terminology, and history are explored in depth through a series of creative design projects.
