- A Prayer

With the essence of Durga Puja
With the fragrance of the flowers
With all the chanting of mantras and aartis
With the redolence of the incense
With the beautiful Devi Pratima and the diyas
With all my heart I pray to Maa,
To bless us with the grace and power
To bless us with the strength to stand up
To empower women with the aspire
To live her life with every dream and desire
To enlighten our way from darkness
To keep our beliefs alive over years
That evil and vicious will come to an end.
Every heart is elated with cheer and pride
Every heart is content with peace and delight
The air around is replete with the blend of 'dhol'
and 'dhaak'
Every heart is enchanted by the music and the air
Which brings the much awaited fiesta - “Durga Puja"
Knowing the glorious come back of 'Maa Durga' on
earth
Knowing there is always a good over bad,
Knowing our beliefs on worship and devotion are
true,
Every heart welcomes 'Maa' - the goddess of power
Every heart welcomes 'Durgatinashini'
Knowing her glory will protect the world from the
evils
Eliminating the pain and sufferings
With all my heart I pray to Maa
To bless us with the grace and power !

My Permeating Mind

The doors are open
And I like to flee
The eyes of the world
I try to catch and make glee.
Deep in my heart lies the fire
Desire burning from the start,
Can anybody chase my multi-colored desire?
Its driving me deep from the heart.
I like to flow like the ripples of water
Sparkling and shining all through
Getting it down the river,
Below the azure sky.
I like to fly like a butterfly
Much like a breezy wind,
Her vibrant wings of delicate laces
Brings ecstasy to my mind.
And now I realize,
My desires are endless,
Insatiable desires, and unreal imagination
All pricks me to become restless.
Restless emotions though, carry different nectar
Reminisced me of my innocent childhood days.
All these value my life to a grafter,
To provide solace in my days of loneliness………
