T a’ Qali National Park Several people visit the Ta’ Qali National Park for recreation and for enjoying some fresh air with family and friends. The Park offers a relaxing environment and a good break from the hassle and the urban, hectic lifestyle. Ta’ Qali National Park has more to offer than just picnic areas and walkways. The park boasts a wide variety of ornamental plants and trees, of both indigenous and non indigenous origin, as well as fauna species which, with some attention and observation, can be easily discovered and appreciated. B ird Park - Kennedy Grove, before reaching Bugibba is another fantastic way to spend the day out with kids. The Bird Park is home to over 200 species fo birds, and serves as an educational visit for children as well. It is a must see for any nature and animal lover; the Bird Park is the first nature based theme park in Malta. You can see flamingos, pelicans, swans, storks, owls, parrots and many more species of birds which thrive and live happily in this nature reserve. Children have the opportunity to lean about bird habitats, plumage cycles, flight, displays, migration, songs and calls, nests and eggs - and most of all they get to interact with the animals themselves. 84
