foremost. However, there are several kid-friendly things to see and do in these little islands. Let us

opeye Village - Just before
reaching the spectacular
bay of Mellieha, lies this
unsuspecting village which
transports you and your
family into another world
altogether. Popeye Village was built
in the late 1980s, as a film set for
the musical ‘Popeye’ starring Robin
Williams as the infamous sailor and
Shelley Duval as Olive Oyl. Animators
still keep this village alive to this day,
with characters from the beloved
cartoon roaming the various shacks,
offering shows, games and activities
for kids. The village is transformed
according to the season - it becomes
a Christmas Village during Christmas
Time, a Haunted Village for Halloween
and there are water sports and
activities for the summer. Anchor Bay,
which is a bay of clear blue waters is
nestled just under the village itself,
and offers a picturesque backdrop to
the village.
