Low Life Stalker

"Oh my god!" whispered Karen to herself as she notices that she's being followed. But she pretends not to notice, just to get the thought out of her head. At this point, she's getting scared. She doesn’t know what to do, either run away or just keep moving forward.

"What am I doing out here so late?" she realized. She just kept moving forward and ignored the sounds in the background. Karen was shaking in fear. She couldn't even walk right. Karen was walking as if her legs were going to give out.

Karen chuckles and says, "What’s up with my legs?” Then, she hears light footsteps and stays put with a shocked look on her face. A light gasp slips out of her mouth.

"Uh...anyone there?" asks Karen.

Everything gets quiet, too quiet. She looks around to see if she notices anything suspicious.

"It looks normal to me,” thought Karen. Then she just moves along the cold, wet, gray sidewalk in the lonely neighborhood. But she then hears brushing of the bushes and loud footsteps, as if someone was approaching her. The footsteps get louder by the second. Karen has sweat dripping down her face, but she has a thought in her head telling her to keep moving.

Silence.

No footsteps can be heard. Karen stops all of a sudden. Then she turns around but there's no one there. She walks into her house and goes up to her room. She opens the curtains and looks out the window.
