Fired at Work

Sheniqua went to work one Tuesday morning, as she did every day, and as usual, she got distracted by talking to her co-workers. She always bought food from the vending machine; she took long breaks and spent a lot of time looking out the window at things that were amazing to her. Her desk was located on the top floor and could look down at everything.

As a result of her distractions, Sheniqua barely did any work. Her co-workers always told her to do more and to stay focused.

Every day after work, Sheniqua would walk to her car while her boss Ryan would talk to her.

"Hello Sheniqua," said her boss Ryan.

"Hey, Hey, Hey! How you doin’?" Sheniqua replied back.

"I’ve been good, how have you been?" asked Ryan.

"That's wonderful, and oohh Ryan you don’t know how good I've been," answered Sheniqua.

Ryan was going to try to let Sheniqua down easily, trying to fire her.

"So what did you want to talk to me about?" asked Sheniqua.

"Oh, yes, if I can remember, some of the other workers told me that you are not working enough, and if you are not then, I will have to fire you," Ryan told Sheniqua.

"Wait, hold up! You can't fire me! I'm going to prove you wrong, and if you still fire me, you will regret it," Sheniqua said to Ryan while walking to her car very angrily. Sheniqua drove away with tears dripping down her face; she was really upset.

The next day when she went to work she was extra focused and worked very hard, and when she got home she was very exhausted.

The next day she was sleeping on her desk with a big mess.

"Ok Sheniqua, you're fired!! You're fat, lazy, and all you do… all you do, is NOTHING! YOU’RE WORTHLESS!" yelled Ryan.

How could he ever say that to her? Everyone in the room gasped.

"How could you ever say that to me?” Sheniqua said loudly
