When is the situation going to change?

Builders could get motivated if there is a demand on the side of the customer. “We have just recently pulled through the first stage of consumer experience by satisfying the demand for the space and started thinking how to make it more comfortable. For now, while the customer is happy with choosing a location, concept and engineering systems, Russian builders will keep on postponing the introduction of high-tech solutions. I believe that the wide spread of energy efficient technologies is what we are going to see in the 2030s,” comments Igor Temnyshev.

According to the expert, green construction today is more of a marketing trigger to charge a concept project and customers have not yet recognized its true value, but the evolution of customers’ awareness is a natural development and in probably five years market players will think more of using energy-efficient solutions. We can see that some companies have started ahead of the breakthrough in consumer’s thinking and are already working on sustainable development strategies on their own responsibility and even though they are not yet after the certificates, they have been quite successful at implementing certain green technologies.
