After its opening, the Planeta SEC should become the largest in the Volga district. The object is being built on a former hippodrome territory. The first stage of construction was Leroy Merlin (18,000 sq. m), opened here in 2017. The total project coverage area is home to 913 thousand people, of which 147 thousand people live in the primary area. The predicted attendance at the facility is 30–35 thousand people per day.
The SEC Planeta will house 185 stores. It is already known about the signing of agreements with the brands Sportmaster, O'stin and Funday, as well as hypermarkets Lenta and M.Video. There will be 19 catering points, a children's entertainment center and an IMAX cinema for 285 seats of the united network Kino Okko. The center will also house a modern food court with 1.000 seats, where new concepts will be presented with a wide selection of different cuisines of the world.
As in the case with other regional projects above, the opening date of the Planeta has been postponed: it was planned to open in 2020, and now we are talking about February 2021. Facade work is underway at the facility, the roof is being completed, and the installation of internal engineering systems is in progress. Preparations have begun for finishing work in the building. In addition, work on the installation of on-site communications has been finished. The total investment in construction is estimated at 9 billion rubles.
