tient with the process and try to do it ourselves. We end up missing
the mark by a mile or more.
I’m disappointed in watching the spirits of selfishness, pride, discon-
tent and disobedience run wild. No one is perfect, especially not me.
As a leader, I pray more these day. I ask God to reveal what he shows
me to the members of our ministry. I want them to see it the same way
God shares it with me.
On the other hand, I believe God has called me to lead this ministry. He
has given me a greater insight on how to build it. Still, there were times
I’ve considered walking away. I think about how peaceful life would be
if my wife and I used the finances and time we pour into the ministry
to travel the world.
Of course I dismiss these thoughts, but lately they occur more fre-
quent. I believe God sent Tamarah, who I refer to as the premature

Receiving the Call
Her father, Minister Tommie Sims, sent me a text message that would
change my life forever. He wrote, “My daughter will be born, and the
doctors said she will not live long. WILL YOU COME AND BAPTIZE HER?”
This was when little Tamarah went to work.
His request was profound and earth shattering for me. I said,”YES!”
When I arrived at the hospital, little Tamarah was already born and in
