SNM: Many believers don't understand the importance inner healing. Why do you think inner healing is important for Christians after they received the Holy Spirit? DL: I think that inner healing is always a work in progress. The best word my brother told me is that our relationship with God is a process. It is a journey. Inner healing is important because it's never ending. We believe that we are healed and free, but there are a lot of times that situations, circumstances and people will come back into our lives. So, as much as we think we are healed we are not until we face those situations and circumstances that come across our path. SNM: Can you share what things you were able to work through while writing this book? DL: The main thing I was healed from was forgiveness to my brothers for sexually abusing me and molesting me as a child. It went on for many years so it did quite a bit of damage. I was under the age of nine, but old enough to remember. I was very small and it went on for years. I had three brothers and two of them molested me and my sister on a consistent basis. My mother and father were not married and those were not my father's children. As I started writing the book I was healed; but as I wrote it down on paper and described what happened to me it really brought up a lot of old feelings I hadn't dealt with in years. It was one of the major things that helped me heal from the abuse. Today, one of them has given his life to Christ. The other one has given his life to Christ as well, but unfortunately he is still in prison. He has served approximately 37 years.
