tive. Sometimes your presence is the best gift of all, especially if
you had cover traveling expenses.
3. Body
• Exercise at least 4 to 5 days a week at a minimum. Walk 10,000
steps daily. Exercise will help you release feel good hormones
that will ease depression.
• Consume whole foods that are clean, high in nutrients and fiber.
• Hydrate your body and make sure you drink half your weight in
ounces of water daily. If you give your body the tools it needs,
your body will keep the hormones and processes in balance to
achieve your optimal health.
• Avoid refined sugar and flours, artificial sweeteners color and fla-
vors, processed foods, sodas, and meats treated with hormones
or antibiotics. These foods increase your risk for chronic condi-
tions, hormonal imbalances clinical depression.
• Make sure you get 8 hours of sleep every night to give your body
time to recover from the daily holidays hustle.
• Supplement your diet with essential oils, foods, herbs and spices
that target depression such as Turmeric. It is called the natural
Prozac. Other spices and herbs to consider include Nutmeg,
St. John’s Wort, Lavender essential oil, Ashagwanda, and many
more.
