Science proves that when we get all those thoughts on paper they become more tangible. We can deal with them logically. So, trying to figure it all out in your head isn't as effective or healthy as getting it into an app or on paper. How to Do a Brain Dump In Evernote So let's get to the "how to" of dumping everything into Evernote. First, make sure you download the Evernote mobile App or sign up for it on your desktop or internet browser. Follow the steps below to start dump- ing your brain: 1. Create a notebook in Evernote and call it Brain Dump. 2. Create a note in that notebook with the title Brain Dump and the date of the dump. 3. Next, you can make check boxes and let it flow. I like to just sit and type until I get everything out. Then I go back and order it. "A brain dump is a way to get all the ideas buzzing around in your head on paper or on an electronic device....It is one of the best ways to empty your brain when you feel overwhelmed by your mental list." You can order the dumped list by category. I use the categories of business and personal sometimes. You can do yours any way that makes sense to you once you have everything out of your head. You don't even have to break it down into categories. Use the big list and take 3 or 4 things from it daily to work on. 21
