A Recipe for Rejuvenation By: Chef Dolores Lee When I think of rejuvenation, I think of changing our menus to sustain our lifestyles for a better quality of life. To be honest, I still don't quite understand how our grandparents lived so long with their dietary habits, at least those of us with southern grandparents. Yet, foods are handled and processed differently today. Hence, the big organic movement. This isn't one of those go completely organic articles, or is it an eat your favorite comfort foods all day type of articles. So, let's consider what rejuvenation means in your kitchen and what that may look like for you. You could prepare grandma's favorite recipe with a different ingredient? Maybe you give it new life while cutting back a little of the fat? Perhaps you hire a personal chef and eat out less. You rejuvenate your schedule while creating more family time? Or, could you swap out a few items in your pantry and refrigerator for healthier choices. Thus, adding energy to your lifestyle. Some of you already implemented a rejuvenating food plan into your diets. That's awesome! So maybe rejuvenation for you means adding a little vitality to your kitchen with a new paint color. Did you know green promotes healthy eating while red promotes eating more? Think about the restaurants you patronize. The colors they use are well planned to create an atmosphere promoting a specific dining experience for you. The Bible teaches us that Jesus came to give life and life more abundantly. He wants us to live a full life. One way to do this is by what we've just discussed. Changing our kitchen, our menus, and our choices in foods such that we live a better life.
