Over the years , she has become quite the home chef . She is able to create meals that are impressive . We are close , still trying new foods and restaurants together when our schedules allow . It ’ s time well spent with one another .
We discuss everything from God to her relationships with her own friends . We solve problems during our adventures in food . I ’ ve noticed how we ’ ve grown together over the years the most . God helped us triumph through some difficult moments using my passion for food .
Here are 3 tips to create positive relationships using food :
1 . Use food as a tool to spark conversation . Talk about the region the food originated from or some spices that would add more flavor to them . Not sure about the topic of spices ? Do your research together . Grab a new book from an online bookstore or the library . Take pictures and post them to social media .
2 . Prepare easy , simple meals to make together while trying something new . A simple recipe , such as our Orzo Pasta below , is engaging and fun . It creates an atmosphere for relationship building . Now , if you ’ re up to the task of something more difficult , go for it ! Practice the meal first if necessary , but by all means , have fun !
3 . Use Food as a tool to teach , listen and learn . Each of us has our own language of love that we use to communicate . Food can be one of the best ! Cooking is a great opportunity for team building within a company or bonding with new friends . People are willing to talk more over good food .
