THIS EDITION OF THE SHERMAN BUILDING BEARCATS SCHOOL AND FAMILY
MAGAZINE IS FOCUSED ON THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME: THE EDUCATIONAL
JOURNEY EACH OF OUR STUDENTS TAKE.
That trip, while different for each student, holds true to one ideal: #BuildingBearcats.
The initiative is a simple concept with a widespread impact. It’s our commitment
to equipping our students and preparing them for success after high school. The
#BuildingBearcats initiative, which includes our parents, grandparents, volunteers,
business, industry, and government leaders and more, is guided by our district values
and beliefs:
• We believe that education is the shared responsibility of students, staff,
parents and the community.
• We believe that developing the mind, heart, and spirit is vital for each
student’s success.
• We believe that effective leadership inspires excellence.
• We believe that quality instruction engages students.
• We believe that well-equipped and maintained facilities convey pride in
the community.
