PRESIDENT ’ S
MESSAGE
Alberta , I am excited to see what this next year will bring . My goals for our association stem from the key issues affecting our industry . This is an industry that I have proudly been involved in for almost 30 years and I am currently serving my seventh year on the SMCAA board on behalf of all sheet metal contractors in Alberta .
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our past president , Gary Bianchini , for his contributions over his tenure as president and I look forward to working with him throughout the coming year as he serves the board as past president and mentor .
I ’ d also like to congratulate our newly elected vicepresident , Brock Grolla of Trotter & Morton , Calgary , and Stan Northam of Stanama Heating and Air Conditioning , Sylvan Lake , as treasurer .
Finally , thank you to all the volunteers who work towards the benefit of all industries on various boards and associations . Without the volunteers these boards could not exist and the achievements would not have been possible
I look forward to what the future holds for our trade in the residential , commercial and industrial sectors , and as a voice for our trade and an indispensable resource for our industry throughout Alberta . •
